Community Liaison (Focal Point) at The Big Smile Foundation (5 Openings)

The Big Smile Foundation is a women/youth led non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance across the BAY states within Northeast Nigeria. We are committed to improving the everyday life of women and children across Nigeria through working closely with individuals, families, communities, and government through strategic partnership.

Locations: Damboa, Kaga, Marte, MMC and Jere, Maiduguri – Borno

Start time: Immediately

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibility

Functions / Day to day activities:

Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned stakeholder level engagements in the communities as outlined in the Project detailed implementation plan in line with TBSF program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.</p><p>Any other duty as assigned by the team lead.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related fields

Must have a working laptop.

Proven experience as a Liaison focal point, Public Relations Officer or similar role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to foster relationships with key stakeholders.

Problem-solving skills and a community-service orientation.

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to travel as necessary.

Desirable skills:

A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action in a timely manner

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and either Kanuri or Hausa.

Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships and maintaining effective communication with diverse community groups and stakeholders.

Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage and captivate an audience.

Organizational Competence: Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
