Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization and drive our mission of promoting economic growth in Africa. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including strategic planning, fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with the board of directors to achieve the organization's mission and goals.

- Identify and prioritize key initiatives and opportunities for growth and expansion.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure their success.

2. Fundraising and Financial Management:

- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to secure funding from diverse sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.

- Oversee the organization's budget and financial management, ensuring responsible and transparent use of funds.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including African businesses, international companies, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations.

- Represent the organization at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to promote our mission and initiatives.

4. Team Management:

- Lead and manage a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment that promotes diversity, inclusivity, and creativity.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit organization focused on economic development.

- Strong understanding of the African business landscape and experience working with diverse stakeholders.

- Proven track record of successful fundraising and financial management.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
