MOHBAD: NEVER FORGOTTEN 🕯️
The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed September 29, 2026, to deliver judgment in a suit seeking to compel the Inspector General of Police and other police authorities to reopen the investigation into the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The case, filed by the Registered Trustees of Break the Silence Foundation, is marked FHC/ABJ/CS/363/2026 and is before Justice James Omotosho. This upcoming judgment is about whether the police should conduct a fresh investigation. It is not a murder trial and will not determine the guilt of any individual.
Motherland Reality Television has not found reliable police or court confirmation supporting the viral allegations that Mohbad’s partner confessed, was charged with murder or is presently being prosecuted alongside the people named in the circulating post. Those claims must therefore be treated strictly as unverified allegations, not established facts.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, at just 27 years old. Three years later, the demand remains the same: truth, justice and closure.
