    About the role


    We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator who will be supporting the development of proposals and the management of strategic partnerships to join our team. 


    The successful candidate will coordinate the proposal development process to ensure the timely submission of high-quality proposals and the establishment of strong partnerships. The person will play a crucial role in driving organizational growth through successful bids and collaborations.


    A typical week in the life of the Business Development Coordinator entails the following: 


    Sourcing for opportunities and developing winning proposals for bids, tenders, and grants from bilateral and multilateral organizations, government agencies, foundations, and the private sector

    Development of the proposal content (professionally written) to ensure it addresses client requirements, articulates EyeCity Africa’s value proposition and aligns with the organization’s bid strategy.

    Writing of the technical and financial proposals based on inputs from the team and external subject-matter experts.

    Collaborating with the Manager to assess the strategic importance of business opportunities and determine project requirements.

    Exploring and developing consortium partnership options and providing recommendations to inform decision-making.

    Maintaining and updating a proposal documentation content drive for proposal documentation.

    Identifying impediments and providing multiple solutions and recommendations to resolve identified problems. 

    Skills Required


    Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite: MS Excel, Google Sheets, MS PowerPoint/Google Slides, MS Word.

    Exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to articulate clearly and influentially.

    Expertise in proposal development and grant writing

    Domain knowledge in employability, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystems

    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment 

    This  position requires individuals with at least 2 years of experience in proposal development, partnership management, or related fields.


    Work Hours: 40 hours weekly. Strong preference for candidates based in Abuja, Nigeria.
