"When I got signed by Kennis Music, everyone felt they only signed me because of my resemblance to 2Baba. They also thought it would help my career. But let's be honest, it didn't. A lot of radio and TV presenters refused to interview me cause they felt I was imp3rsonat!ng 2Baba. They didn't want any lawsuits on their head.
Keke and D1 encourage me to keep going. It was when i finally did a song with 2Baba that people finally accepted me as an independent artist. But even to this day, people only remember me as the guy who looks like 2Baba"
Joel is Still with Kennis Music but In a recent interview, he revealed that the Record Label are not competitive and the not willing to invest into promoting artistes and their songs like other present-day big record labels like MAVIN, DMW, YBNL etc
Although Joel is still dropping good music but his presence is not felt in the streets. it's almost as if he's no longer in the industry but he's working hard to bounce back or probably leave the Label
