1. Take bus instead of Uber.
2. Start using what you already have instead of buying new things.
3. Take care of your belongings to make them last longer.
4. Plan all your meals ahead and only go grocery shopping once a week.
5. Learn the difference between Need and Want and act accordingly.
7. Save 10 percent of what you earn and keep it aside. Don't touch that money unless it's too urgent.
8. Challenge yourself to have low- or no-spending weeks and reward yourself by saving a sum of money right away.
9. Fix minor problems before they become major problems, especially when you have a car, motorcycle, etc.
10. Stop buying phones every year. At least use your phone for 2-3 years before purchasing another one. Also, make sure to buy new phones instead of used ones.
11. Before making a purchase online, make sure to search for promo codes on Google. You can usually find a variety of discounts, from free shipping to 25% off.
12. Don't eat bad food. It ends up costing more in terms of your health. Your medical costs go up because you will have health problems.
13. Stop taking your clothes to the laundry. Dedicate one day to watch your clothes. When you reach that level, you will automatically know that you are there, so wash them yourself for now.
14.A good quality pair of shoes stays with you for years; however, a cheap quality pair remains for months. Be smart; buy decent quality products and estimate replacement costs before purchasing.
15. Let go of the temptation to buy everything that catches your attention. There are instances when all you need to do is appreciate that piece of whatever it is and then walk away.
16. Take a look at what you've been spending money on. Look at your checkbook register, credit card bills, receipts, calendar, or whatever helps you remember what you spent.
