Position: Printer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Printer to join our team and operate our printing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various printing techniques, materials, and technologies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on the machines. As a Printer, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring that all printed materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various printing machines, such as offset, digital, and screen printers
- Prepare and adjust printing machines according to job specifications
- Select and mix inks to achieve desired colors and consistency
- Load and unload paper, ink, and other materials onto the machines
- Monitor printing process to ensure quality and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Keep accurate records of materials used and production output
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in printing technology
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating printing machines, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of different printing techniques and materials
- Familiarity with printing software and programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and specifications
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
