Position: Igbo Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Igbo Teacher to join our educational institution and teach the Igbo language to students of all ages. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Igbo language and culture, and be passionate about teaching and promoting the language.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to teach the Igbo language to students of different levels and ages.

- Create a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages students to actively participate and engage in the learning process.

- Use a variety of teaching techniques and methods to make the learning experience interesting and effective for students.

- Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents on their performance.

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement a comprehensive Igbo language curriculum.

- Incorporate cultural aspects of the Igbo language and traditions into the lessons to help students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the language.

- Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and school administration regarding students' progress, challenges, and achievements.

- Keep up-to-date with developments in the field of Igbo language and utilize new teaching methodologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.

- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school events.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Igbo language, Linguistics, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Igbo language to students of different ages.

- Native or near-native proficiency in Igbo language.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of Igbo culture, traditions, and history.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds.

- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in teaching methods to suit different learning styles.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.

- Valid teaching certification and any other relevant certifications.
