This week a high-level U.S. government delegation visited the University Teaching Hospital (UTH)
in Lusaka to witness the great work Zambian scientists and partners are leading in the areas of maternal and child health, HIV services, telemedicine, and more. The delegation included five U.S. Senators as well as high-level officials from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The U.S. government has been partnering with UTH for over 20 years and has provided support to build the capacity of the hospital in academic, clinical, and research spaces.
