Introduction
Failure and lack of jobs are part of life. You do not know where you are going till you find your path and what your destiny leads to. When you find a wealthy and successful people, you would not know that they were once poor and once jobless. Follow me and let us study the lives of ten people who moved from lack of jobs to success at a single turn of their destiny.
1. HARRISON FORD: Hard work seems to be his name. He moved from one state to the other to find success. When you put all your faith and mind in a given work and you believe you will make, surely you will but you don’t know when. Every one knows a winner when they see one and a looser that cannot get a better job. He moved from one state to the other. He moved from Los Angeles in pursue of acting career which failed. He ended up in the B-list roles in Hollywood. When unemployment and lack of success meets an actor, he could take on any job. He could be a dish washer in a hotel or a house cleaner. For the lack of good jobs, Harrison Ford, that he started up as a carpenter to support his wife and two children. It was when young Luca George gave him the needed opportunity for American film Graffiti in and Ford acted even, the success wars Franchise. We thank God her did not loose hope.
2. JEWEL: It is only Jewel who know too well, what it means to be out of job or needed a job. Poverty could make a child sing in a labor. The money need stopped him from a scholarship. At eighteen she was living in her car. Her boss as she written was always trying to sleep with and for this she couldn’t see a steady job till she found her calling and took a step towards.
3. CONAN O’BRIEN: You would not believe the stories your heart of celebrities and poverty are real. You may not understand and if you my not believe it. Why would O’Brien choose to leave a lucrative job offer in NBC…? One of his contracts says, he would not appear on television for eight months. Rather than sit at home, he organized a show with his friends and well wishers which turned life around.
4. J. K. ROWLING: there is a book which the readers of the world seem to know as his bible, and it is written by the author I am going to talk about. Writers all over the world knew this woman. I myself thought life is always rosy for all writers. I did not know some writers who in this life were actually suffering in hunger and in lack of jobs. She had a child when she doesn’t want to and it was a burden of love for her. She did not know how to take good care of herself not to take care of the child given to her. Rowling story advised so many went to be writers. She may be richer than the queen of England. Her three series of Harry Potter earned the author over 40million dollars world wide. It is not bad for a first book writer. She did not know that her book would sell. She did not know that she would make the champion and the winner. Before she had worked as a secretary and lived off welfare while she looks for a job. She writes the opening lines of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone on a napkin which sold 4000 dollars in 1997.
5. ELLEN DEGENERES: Today, with the success that follows every one, will and grace would have been on the air for over a decade. There is success in the air as hearers listened to her and took adverts from her programs and even the president loved it. There was once a poor girl who finally made it and made success in life. Every wealthy person was once poor. The shows, appeared on air gave her the needed awards. Soon, as she expecting to blessed, the show was cancelled from there, she was out of work. She was mocked and ridiculed even from the gay community. She did not have enough money. She went back and did what she knew how best to do, and soon was back on air which she found success at last.
6. STEVE JOBS: People learned to go the moon and people learned to create several good works. There is a man who built the electric bulb and he had done the experiment for more than nine hundred times. There is a man whose name seems to be computer himself. Did he begin with the computer? Did computer run in his blood? Did any body prove that he is going to be a success in life? He loved the things of science and did the work very well. Lack of jobs could make you start business in any place that you think you can call an office. People like Steve Jobs could not pay for even a small office and has to start Apple Computers in Jobs garage in 1976 and 1980. Apple was a billion-dollar business and publicly traded company. Got sacked 1985. “We had just released our finest creation-The Macintosh started”. So he moved on to start Pixar Animation Studios, and NEXT. He bought shares and soon returned to Apple as the chief executive Officer with new products and services.
7. SUSAN BOYLE: You have not seen Susan as she performed in the Britain’s Got talent, you would say, she is set to win all the awards in the entertainment industry. She was faith; she would make it in the music industry. The music industry may be difficult in America may be a lot easier in other countries because America and Britain has so many professionals than any other country around the world. Her life was meant for education and training. Education is that one that prepares an individual to excel and change his or her world. This education creates a permanent change in the life of the individual as the learner interacts with the environment. She did not know what to do to care for her family. So, she worked as a cook to take care of her mother. She entered into saying career which she had won minor competitions such as cry me a river, killing me softly, her mother insisted she try the Britain Got Talent and today she is swimming in 20th million dollars net worth. You have tried everything and it is not working. You may seem to think that god has no like for the people like you. You may have believed that you need special prayers to make things right with god before you find a good job and make success in life.
8. MICHAEL J. FOX: many years ago not many people has or are willing to hear or see this great person. If you are still jobless and weak you will still be at the back. You may have asked what is wrong with the way you do things or is any one out to make a failure out of you. Poverty is the reason why any youths are leaving home in America. You have tried out every thing and it is not working. You may seem not to think god hated you. So when at 17 Fox arrived Los Angeles from Canada, he got a job at Walt Disney before landing a full time job on Palmer’s town, USA. He was about to start enjoying his life to hear that the film industry were on strike. Palmer’s Town cancelled his job at once and he was jobless. It is a pity that only job that he could and before he knew it he was jobless and was near homeless. His apparent sent him some money to help him, and soon, he was selling his home items, and soon, he was selling his home items one after the other. By the time Fox decided to grant Fox an interview, to P. Keaton on family ties, it was a phone, and he needed to eat descent meal. He was a good comedian and the rest was a story.
9. MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Who would have known, this is a man would be part that would of great political new journal. She has hosted the morning Joe and her career goes strong she was working on the television the television for more than a decade, and she couldn’t understand why she was sacked from her job as a correspondent. Joblessness battered her spirit and made her think of tomorrow. She did not have angry to look for a job, coasting her lifetime. Soon, she settled for a gig at MSNBC reporter at tenth of her salary.
10. JOAN RIVERS: On May, 15th, 1987, Joan prepared work with joy that the day is going to be great. Soon as she got to the office she got a call from the executives that she has been fired. She wondered why she has to be sent away from the work that she has given the best of herself to and couldn’t see any reason why. She had taught she would make all of her life success from the work but she was disappointed. She taught success would follow her as she had worked for it. She did not know where she would get her next job. People assumed that her show had failed. Her need to leave the NBC had mad rival and Johnny Carson angry and she was blacklisted from Hollywood. By August, 1987 was the worst year in her life, her husband committed suicide. For the next years, she worked hard to make people smile as a stand up comedian and in 1988, and rivers appeared in Neil Simon’s, Broadway Bound. She wished things had never changed and were still the same as it used to be.
